Phoenix Electrical Installations Ltd are rewire specialists. We work with our customers, to find the best solution that meets their requirements, whilst coming within their budget. There are many options when having a rewire, whether you require surface mounted wiring or walls chased out, a standard trade finish (set number of outlets, white plastic accessories and no down light fittings) or a more bespoke finish (chrome accessories, USB sockets, TV set ups and LED down lights), we can find the choice best for you. We even have the option to fill chases made by ourselves, in readiness for rubbing down and decorating by the customer.. Our team are highly experienced in carrying out rewires, we can set up temporary supplies, we use dust sheets and floor protection and clean up after ourselves, causing as little disruption to the customer as possible. All new wiring comes with a 10 year warranty.

CONSUMER UNIT UPGRADES

Consumer Units have come a long way in recent years. Many times, just upgrading your consumer unit and earthing can bring a property up to current regulations, without needing a full rewire. Here at Phoenix Electrical Installations Ltd, we fit the most up to date consumer units, which meet BS7671 18^th edition regulations. There is the option of a “standard” metal clad, dual RCD consumer unit, complete with MCB’s or more new to the market, a metal clad consumer unit, complete RCBO’s on each circuit. An RCBO in simple terms is a RCD combined with a MCB. This means that if something was to trip, only one circuit would go off as opposed to many circuits. We usually fit these consumer units with SPD (surge protective devices). A surge protective device protects sensitive equipment against lightning strikes and power surges. As more people purchase smart appliances, TV’s, computers and expensive stereo systems, the small extra cost of the SPD option, outweighs the expense if these items had to be replaced.  When a consumer unit is replaced, a full test to all circuits is carried out and a 5 year electrical installation certificate is provided. This is then registered with local authority building control, who issue a Part P certificate of compliance.

NEW BUILDS

Phoenix Electrical Installations Ltd oversee electrical projects for new builds, designing and installing electrical systems from the ground up. Our projects include flats, single family houses to large-scale multi-unit buildings, including conversions. We offer airflow testing and certification to newly installed extractor fans and cooker hoods as required by local authority building control.

TESTING AND CERTIFICATION

We provide Part P testing and certification services to suit your requirements including domestic electrical installation certification, minor works, domestic electrical condition reports (EICR), landlord’s certificates and PAT testing. Since 1^st April 2021 it is a legal requirement for a landlord to have an up to date EICR certificate on a rental property.  If required under Part P your certificate will be registered with local authority building control who will provide our client with a separate certificate of compliance. We hold £1 million professional indemnity insurance to carryout EICR testing, giving you peace of mind.
